Great unassuming small dining room Chinese restaurant. I enjoyed the large menu with some recommended specials and an entire “popular American” dishes section. I had the cumin seed lamb and fried dumplings. Solid all around, took a minute to get used to the cumin seed texture but I loved it and it was done quite well. Will be back to try other dishes.

Incredible comfort food. The twice cooked fish is so good. Like crazy good. Get it. The cumin Lamb is also incredible, great seasoning. One of the most unique dishes is the ginger pork chop, the flavor and breading were immaculate. We came in on a lazy Sunday, place empty, dead afternoon hours... and recieved good service, and plate after plate of wonderfully cooked food, every dish as good as the last. Impressive. The spicy potato salad is fantastic, as is the spicy gizzard with cucumber salad. The Chinese doughnuts are like fried air, unspeakably satisfying. Great numbing sichuan pepper chile seasoning and spice on most all dishes. 8.7/10 food, with a 9.5/10 being perfect Authentic flavor and preparation, I recommend.

One of my friends really likes this authentic Chinese restaurant. I also like some of their items. I feel their taste is good and some are impressive. The quality of dishes is unstable. Sometimes, the food tastes bland with too much oil. Service is sometimes slow. WiFi is fast. Recommend their signature Chinese ribs pancakes pot and beef cold noodle. The Chinese pancakes taste amazing with the rib broth.

We went to the Ace of Cups to watch a performance by Galactic Empire yesterday and we're hungry so we went across the street to Northeast Chinese restaurant. This little hidden spot for most folks turned out to be some of the best Chinese food that I have eaten in my life and I have eaten Chinese food all over the world. The portions are huge, the price is good and the staff very friendly. I recommended anybody traveling through Columbus that might want some good Chinese food, to look this place up and go there and eat.

The spicy twice cooked fish was fantastic!!! I've only had Chinese food close to being this good in Springfield, MO. And this was even better.

I’d been driving by this place for years wanting to try it - and finally did. Nestled in a nook adjacent to campus, we had high hopes for an authentic meal. The experience really began before even entering the restaurant with the most mouth-watering aroma wafting down the street. When we entered, we were kindly greeted and invited to sit in a cozy corner. I ordered the cumin lamb, and my partner got the spicy chicken. The lamb was a perfectly crafted patchwork quilt of texture and flavor - the veggies were crisp and fresh; the lamb succulent and tender. The spicy chicken had the most delicate breading, and a crunchy yet soft bite. The latter was a bit dry, so we requested some duck sauce, which brought a rich sweetness to balance the spice. The server was kind and offered her recommendations on request, however we suffered severe mouth burn with only a cup of water each to last between us:,( Overall, 4.5, will be coming back (with our water bottles). Fresh, flavorful, unique, and worth a try (or two).

Quick Review: Not an expert on authenticity, but hit all my Chinese food cravings! Definitely coming back. Want to try the fried pork chop with ginger sweet sauce. Details: Atmosphere: When you walk in, the vibe gives off family owned Chinese joint. Nothing fancy, but that’s honestly a good sign for me coming from NY. Service: Everyone was nice and attentive to order. Water cup was never not full haha. Food: Cumin Lamb *Overall Score (4/5) **Spicy Scale (2/5), Big Eater approved: Without a doubt the dish had a strong cumin punch. Lamb was tender and not too gamey (prob from the cumin). Perfect bite size pieces and seasoned perfect to be accompanied by noodles/rice. Decent portion of lightly cooked vegetables. Vegetables were lightly cooked, so great if you like that crunch. Singaporean Noodles *Overall Score (3/5) **Spicy Scale (0/5), Big Eater approved, want to try something else: Thin noodle stir fry. Well seasoned, but definitely made to eat with other dishes. Eggs and chicken were moist. Not excessively oily, in case yall were worried. Mala Green Beans *Overall Score (5/5) **Spicy Scale (1/5), Big Eater approved, would order everytime: One of my favorite Chinese green bean dishes ever. Cooked to have a little bite at first and soft the rest of the way. LOTS of pickled mustard greens, which is my personal favorite. *Overall Score (1-5) 1: actively avoid 2: rather not order 3: would rather cook, but would order if lazy 4: damn good 5: I am blessed to be eating this meal **Spicy scale (0-5): 0=no reason to be spicy 1=no detectable spice 2=not initially spicy, but after thoughts of spicy 3=initially spicy and some after thoughts of spice 4= initially spicy and need water to continue meal 5= need water on first bite and onward

We stopped by Ohio State University and discovered that this restaurant is quite famous, so we decided to give it a try. The Chinese food here is truly authentic, and I thoroughly enjoyed the dish I ordered. However, I must say that the American Chinese food is not as good as I had hoped. My fiancé ordered the pineapple chicken, but there was no pineapple at all in the chicken. The service here was also quite disappointing.
